A Sew Out With Every Order

What Is The Stitch File?

The stitch file is what sets us apart from other digitizers, we stitch every order on the fabric of your choice, scan the stitch out and upload it with your order.

The stitch file can be found at the bottom of every digitizing order, as the image to the right displays.

The file outlined in blue is the proof file, which consists of the virtual (computer generated) image compared to your original image.

The file below, outlined in red, is the stitch file showing our physical stitch out of your order.

Why Do We Stitch Out Each Job?

This example, sewn on twill, is nice and clean!

Quality assurance is our main focus. We verify that the stitches are clean, the details sew well, and your original image is represented as close as possible in embroidery.

The virtual image may vary just slightly from the final result, but a physical stitch out shows exactly how run stitch details will sew, or how gradients will look in the final product.

Are There Any Exceptions To Providing An Exact Stitch Out?

Yes, there are a few times we don't provide a physical stitch file.

If a rush is requested on an order, we generate a virtual proof to save time and upload that with your order.

If a revision is requested, we make the adjustments needed and again provide a virtual file to ensure we get the order back to you asap.

If a file is over 5" tall or wide, we use a virtual in place of a sew out file. Most of our orders are under 5" and having a consistent hoop on our machines helps maintain our speed and quality.

If the file is for caps, we sew out the file on flats instead. Most of our orders are for flat files, so we again find better speed and quality maintaining consistent hoops on our machines.

Why Does My Stitch Out Look Different?

It's highly possible that your vendor has different techniques, machine settings, and fabrics. Difference in the fabric used, machine tension, the speed embroidery is run at, and backing used can greatly affect how a sew out turns out.

If you do find problems with your vendor's sew out, it's best if you can send us a photo of the front and back of the stitch out, as well as information on the speed it was run at, backing and fabric used any alterations that may have been made to the file.

Is There Anything Else I Should Know?

Just a few quick notes about a our scanned stitch files.

Scanned images can appear overexposed because of the bright light of the scanner, which results in jagged looking edges and highlights across some areas.

The stitch file is usually larger than the actual embroidery so you are getting a "zoomed in" look at the file, this may highlight some things not visible to the naked eye.

If you have any other questions, just ask! That's what we're here for! In the meantime when downloading your next order, rest easy knowing our stitch file is our unique mark of quality.
